1. Why can't I see the My Favorites iViews?
Starting with NetWeaver Portal SP9 the security concept has changed significantly. All content has to be made available explicitly to end users.
Please note that you have to maintain both the "Portal Content" and the "Security Zones". In order to do so, add the "Everyone" user group and assign it read rights.
You may find detailed information in our documentation in the download area in section "Step-by-Step Guide > Assigning Portal Permissions" .

2. Problems using My Favorites with Portal Light Framework?
Issues with the navigation panel have been resolved as of 21. April 2006. Please download the latest EPA file.

3. How can I use SAP Application Integrator to access SAP transactions?
There are two different ways to use the SAP Application Integrator transaction iView.
In both cases please use a URL like 'irj://com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.Transaction' followed by your
custom parameters like '?System=DEV&TCode=SE38&GuiType=WinGui
&WinGui_Type=Shortcut&OkCode=SHOP'.
The parameters are:
- System [mandatory]
- TCode [mandatory]
- GuiType (=WinGui / WebGui / JavaGui) [mandatory]
- WinGui_Type (=Shortcut ..if you want to launch the GUI in a new window)
- OkCode (The OkCode that you would like to be executed after the transcation is called by SAP GUI.)
- ApplicationParameter (Pass these values to your screen fields which needs to be be separated by ;)
- AutoStart (true / false)
- UseSPO1 (true / false)
For a complete list of parameters please consult http://help.sap.com.
3.1 My Favorites URL
Simply create a new favorite leveraging above URL with your custom parameters.
3.2 My Favorites Transaction System
Simply add a new transaction system into the My Favorites properties as described in our documentation.
Please use ## as a placeholder for the choosen transaction code.
Example: 'irj://com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.Transaction
?System=DEV&TCode=##
&GuiType=WinGui
&WinGui_Type=Shortcut
&OkCode=SHOP
&ApplicationParameter=color=blue;answer=42'.
We found this Weblog on SAP SDN to be very helpful.

4. Problems after installing SP15?
Should you encounter any problems after installing Service Pack 15, please take the following steps.
- Download the latest version of My Favorites.
- Import the EPA file into the portal.
- Do NOT run the setup routine, or you will loose all personalization data.
- Logoff from the portal and log back in again.
If the problem persist please contact us.

5. Why do I get a JSP compiler error message?
After importing the latest EPA file of My Favorites you may encounter a JSP compilation error message.
The easiest solution is to restart the portal server. Should this not be possible please allow the portal some time to propagate all My Favorites components accross its landscape.
Should this problem persist for more than one hour please contact us.

6. Why can't I add a transaction?
In order to leverage the R/3 transaction wizard respective backend systems have to be maintained. In your portal click on "Sweetlets >> Setup >> Properties" and scroll down to "ITS Transaction Settings" at the bottom of the page.

7. I am running WAS 6.40. Can I still use the transaction wizard?
Yes! All you have to do is use a connection string similar to the one below:
http://<was_server.mycompany.com>:<icmport>
/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
Please contact your basis team for the proper string.
You can find additional information provided by SAP here: SAP Documentation (PDF)

8. RSS feeds from the Internet do not show!
All request to the Internet are sent by the portal server. Therefore, the portal server has to have access to the Internet. In order to do so, you may have to maintain the respective proxy settings or bypass it altogether.
Portal proxy settings are maintained in "System Administration >> System Configuration >> Service Configuration >> Applications >> com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice >> Services >> Proxy". Further information can be found in the SAP Help Portal.

9. How can I add KM folders to My Favorites?
In order to add a KM folder you have to maintain iView properties. Use the following naming convention in the iView properties section
("km:/RID (Resource ID)")
- Example:
"km:/documents/Public Documents" will display all documents in the public documents folder and all subfolders
- Example:
"km:/documents/Public Documents{2}" will display only documents of the first two sublevels of the respective folder
- Example:
"portalfavorites" will display the portal favorites for the logged in user
In order to add the standard portal favorites simply add "portalfavorites".

10. Does My Favorites work in clustered environments?
Yes! When saving the properties, the file "sweetlets.myfavorites.properties" will be stored on the instance that you are currently logged in. All portal server nodes on this instance will share this file. A sample location looks as follows:
C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\
sweetlets.myfavorites.properties
In a multiple instance setup, copy the latest properties file to all other instances into the respective directory.

11. How can I change the appearance, styles?
The application itself adopts the current portal theme. It mainly uses the table styles. If you need changes to adapt the application to the rest of your portal please don't hesitate to contact us. We are more than happy to help you.
