1. Why can't I see the RSS iView?
Starting with NetWeaver Portal SP9 the security concept has changed significantly. All content has to be made available explicitly to end-users.
Please note that you have to maintain both the "Portal Content" and the "Security Zones". In order to do so, add the "Everyone" user group and assign it read rights.
You may find detailed information in our documentation in the download area in section "Installation Guide > Assigning Portal Permissions" .

2. Why can't I see RSS feeds?
The portal server needs a connection to the internet in order to receive RSS feeds. It is a server side connection. The information will be cached for all users for 60 minutes per default. You can change this interval at your discretion. The cache minimizes internet traffic to a minimum.
You may have to maintain the respective proxy settings or bypass it altogether. Portal proxy settings are maintained in "System Administration >> System Configuration >> Service Configuration >> Applications >> com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice >> Services >> Proxy". Further information can be found here in the SAP Help Portal.

3. How can I add RSS feeds?
In version 1.x the portal content administrator can prepoluate the iView with feeds. Additionally, if enabled, the end-user may maintain his own feeds by clicking on personalization.

4. How can I change the appearance?
The application itself adopts the current portal theme. It mainly uses the table styles. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require customization. We are more than happy to help you.
