1. Why can't I see the Stock Ticker iView?

Starting with NetWeaver Portal SP9 the security concept has changed significantly. All content has to be made available explicitly to end-users.

Please note that you have to maintain both the "Portal Content" and the "Security Zones". In order to do so, add the "Everyone" user group and assign it read rights.

2. Why can't I see stock quotes or news information?

The portal server needs a connection to the internet in order to receive online information. It is a server side connection. The news information will be cached for all users for 15 minutes per default. You can change this interval at your discretion. The cache minimizes the traffic to a minimum.

You may have to maintain the respective proxy settings or bypass it altogether. Portal proxy settings are maintained in "System Administration >> System Configuration >> Service Configuration >> Applications >> com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice >> Services >> Proxy". 3. How can I change the appearance styles?

The application itself adopts the current portal theme. It mainly uses the table styles. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require customization. We are more than happy to help you.
