1. Why can't I see the World Times iView?
Starting with NetWeaver Portal SP9 the security concept has changed significantly. All content has to be made available explicitly to end-users.
Please note that you have to maintain both the "Portal Content" and the "Security Zones". In order to do so, add the "Everyone" user group and assign it read rights.
You may find detailed information in our documentation in the download area in section "Installation Guide > Assigning Portal Permissions" .

2. Why can't I see weather and temperature information?
The portal server needs a connection to the internet in order to receive weather related information. It is a server side connection. The information will be cached for all users for 60 minutes per default. You can change this interval at your discretion. The cache minimizes the traffic to a minimum.
You may have to maintain the respective proxy settings or bypass it altogether. Portal proxy settings are maintained in "System Administration >> System Configuration >> Service Configuration >> Applications >> com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice >> Services >> Proxy". Further information can be found in the SAP Help Portal.

3. How can I add cities?
In version 1.x the portal content administrator can change the city list in the iView property "List of city IDs". A list with all standard cities can be found here.
If you would like to add cities to the list, please contact us. We will provide you with a customized XML file within 48 hours.

4. How do I apply a custom city list?
You have received a custom city list but do not know how to deploy it. Please follow below steps:
- Make sure you have downloaded the latest EPA file
- Save your custom city xml in the same folder in ALL clusters where the license file resides (e.g. /usr/sap/[INSTANCE]/[SERVER]/j2ee/cluster/)
- In the PCD change the iView property "List of city IDs". To select the cities Munich, London and Dubai write "munich, london, dubai". In order to display all custom cities write "custom". This procedure allows you to deploy several instances of World Times with different sets of cities.
- In order for the changes to go into effect immediately: Restart the service. Go to Service Configuration (System Administration -> System Configuration -> Service Configuration) and restart the service. Open folder "Applications", right click on "com.sweetlets.pct.worldtimes" (possibly the last entry), choose "Administrate" and, under "Application Details", click on "Restart".

5. What does the weather icon "n/a" mean?
In very rare instances there is no weather icon available. The n/a icon is displayed instead. The link is still operable and takes you to the 36 hours forecast.

6. How can I change the appearance styles?
The application itself adopts the current portal theme. It mainly uses the table styles. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require customization. We are more than happy to help you.

7. Change of DST is not updating correctly?
World Times uses the underlying Java to calculate times and timezones. Since
there might be actual changes you might need to update your Java version. Please find more information
here http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hubs/dst/ and a more detailed SAP OSS
message here: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/718901.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require more help.
